Last month on December 1st I photographed the Moss Family for their Lifestyle Home session in Framingham. The Moss family is Jessica, Chris, baby Ryan and dog Daisy. It was a Sunday morning on the day of their session, overcast and cold. Inside the Moss family home it was warm and inviting; full of cozy vibes and warm textures.
Lately I have been really digging the intimate feeling of a lifestyle home session. Originally I was supposed to meet Jessica and Chris at Wellesley College for family portraits on campus. Unfortunately we had to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances and the session was pushed back. We toyed around with rescheduling at the college or another outdoor locations but because Ryan is so little ultimately we opted for photographing the family of three (plus their dog)in their home.
Jessica, Chris and baby Ryan live in a cute and cozy home in Framingham. The last time Jessica and Chris had been photographed was their wedding 2.5 years ago. Jessica wanted to wait for Ryan to be a little older so he could interact with his parents and the session could have an air of fun and movement.
I met Jessica earlier last year at Emma and Jason’s wedding when she was a bridesmaid. It was great to see her again and create more of a connection to her and her family. It is always an honor to be chosen to be someone’s heirloom family photographer. Knowing that Jessica and Chris will have my images up in their home as their first professionally documented family session is so touching and honestly a humbling experience that I will never take for granted.
I love how quickly everyone warmed up to me and my camera. One of my goals when photographing your family is to create moments that are natural and that embody how you act when you don’t have a camera in your face.

How silly is this dog’s expression??
After I was sure we got all the variety of family, love and closeness inside everyone bundled up for a quick photo in front of the house. Daisy stayed inside but she found a way to be included in her family’s photo even from inside. Can you see her peeking out from the window?
Moss Family it was SO fun to get to know you better! I loved photographing your adorable little family for your lifestyle home session. Next time baby Ryan will be bigger and we can do outdoor photos at Wellesley College! Have a great 2020!
