My review is coming a few months to late, but I promise that’s no reflection on my experience with Joline! I found Joline because she helped to photograph a friend’s wedding, and I fell in love with her style. I knew from the first time we met her when she came to our home she was going to be a huge part of our wedding. She captured amazing photos for our engagement session so we could send out beautiful save the dates and she seriously went above and beyond when it came to our wedding. She was always willing to answer my million and one questions, so flexible with my wants and needs, so understanding and patient, such a fun personality, and most importantly, she made my husband and I feel SO comfortable the entire time. I have recommended and will continue to recommend Joline to anyone I know looking for a photographer!
Initially, as a forty-something bride, I was a little self-conscious that the photos might not present us in a flattering light. I’m happy to report that Joline captured beautiful photos of us in a range of settings, from full light on the beach to sunset on the deck to late-night dancing after dinner. As we say in the advertising business, she has a talent for “finding the light.” Joline was very professional but also very easy to be around. She built a trust with us early-on which made us relaxed and confident in her ability. My advice would be that wedding vendors should not only be skilled professionals, but people with whom you build a mutual trust. Your wedding day will be filled with lots of details and logistics to worry about. Trusting your vendors reduces that anxiety and allows you enjoy the day and focus on your love and happiness. That’s what it is all about. I was first introduced to Joline by a good friend – someone I trusted, and I believe that makes all the difference. John and I are very thrilled, and feel we received much more than we paid for; Joline exceeded our expectations. We LOVE our photos and Joline was truly able to capture the feeling of the night. Our wedding was a surprise to our guests and to see their faces when they found out we were getting married was priceless. There was one photo taken of both of our mom’s when they found out and Joline was able to capture our expression in the mirror which was pretty AMAZING! Joline listens to what you want and REALLY tries to make it just right. Joline makes the people and pets she is photographing comfortable so they can be natural around her. We were so impressed with the moments she is was able to capture. Both the pictures of ourselves and our guests interacting with one another are truly treasures. Joline becomes your FRIEND when getting to know you and your goals for your photos. Our families LOVED her and her pictures. Every photo in our home from proposal, to wedding, to pets has been captured by Joline. You CANNOT and will not find a better photographer than Joline Cameron Photography. Neither of us has ever been standing-still photogenic – we hardly stay still, and we generally pose poorly (you should see our school photos!). So, we were nervous about our wedding photos. But Joline was patient, took the time to figure us out as a couple, and got us comfortable with the camera. Her photos were fantastic! She got us in our natural, happy-with-each-other states, and the results are photos we’ll proudly show generations of Bosmas. (She got the same out of our parents and guests, for some of the best pictures we have of them, wedding or no.) We interviewed a handful of photographers, and Joline Cameron Photography had the best price of photographers with comparable portfolios. After the fact, yes, it was expensive, but I wouldn’t have trusted our wedding photos to anyone else. As for the experience, Joline made getting our photos taken fun and comfortable. We really can’t overstate how awesome it was that Joline made us comfortable with having our photos taken. The speed with which she did so awes us and anyone who has ever attempted to get a “quick” photo of us as a couple. We and our families also loved the Facebook communication and preview photos, too. Our wedding guests were particularly impressed that Joline captured the moments she did as inconspicuously as she did. There were a few photos taken where we didn’t even know she was where she must have been to have taken them! Also, our videographer is a close friend, who said she rarely sees a wedding photographer so willing to work with the videographer for the good of the bride and groom, like Joline and her assistant were. Use Joline Cameron Photography!
